City of Cedar Park to host free tree lighting, Santa's Workshop event

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The City of Cedar Park will be hosting a free tree lighting and Santa's Workshop event Friday night.

The event will feature a snow hill, snow playing areas, live music performances, games and prizes, a Yule fire, inflatables, and arts & crafts projects. Food concessions will also be available. Those wanting photos with Santa are instructed to bring their own camera.

The event will be held at Heritage Oak Park from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The Cedar Park Police Department will be accepting new and unwrapped gifts for Blue Santa at the event.

The winner of the kindergarten and first-grade coloring contest will pull the switch lighting the real oak tree.
