Things to do for Texas/Alabama college football game

AUSTIN, Texas - The eyes of college football will be on Austin as the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide rolls into town to take on the Texas Longhorns.
The 40 Acres will be filled with fans and there will be several pre- and post-game activities.
On Friday, September 9 at 6:30 p.m., join the FOX Tailgate Tour at the corner of 17th and San Jacinto and get the weekend festivities started. It's a block party and pep rally with DJ Mel and the University of Texas cheer and spirit squads. There's free food, drink samples, and prizes.

Fans get excited for Texas/Alabama football game

Saturday, kickoff is at 11 a.m. (CT) and if you can't head out to the game you can watch it on FOX 7 Austin.
FOX's Big Noon Kickoff will be in town and there will be a pregame party in the northwest corner of DKR Stadium.

Alabama and Texas fans get ready for big football game
One of the most highly-anticipated college football games this weekend will be happening in Austin. FOX 7 Austin's Tierra Neubaum and Libbi Farrow have more.
The University of Alabama Alumni Chapter, Austin Bama Alumni, has a number of events planned before the game and on game day at Buford's Backyard Beer Garden located at 700 W. 6th Street.
On Friday, September 9 there will be an Austin Bama Cookout at Buford's from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $75 and will be $85 on the day of the event.
Then on game day on Saturday, September 10, there will be an official Alabama Alumni Association tailgate at the University of Texas - Recreation Center at 2001 San Jacinto Boulevard from 8 a.m to 10 a.m. hosted by the University of Alabama National Alumni Association.
If you don't have tickets, head back to Buford's where there'll be a watch party beginning at 11 a.m.
