Securing employment after graduation can be tough for many new grads because of limited job opportunities and how competitive the marketplace is.

While a college degree can be helpful for job seekers, a recent study finds that some recent graduates regret the degrees they obtained in school.

University of Technology Sydney Online ranked college major choices graduates regret the least and most and their reasons for these sentiments.

UTS Online noted that the high regrets from grads related to their college majors may be a belief that their degree may not be useful for some jobs.

Among the reasons graduates in particular majors lament about their degrees in the survey include their degree offers few job opportunities or quality pay, and the skills from the degree aren’t valued in the workplace.

The ranking was part of a survey conducted by UTS Online, where the educational institution assessed the labor market for new grads and looked at the unemployment rate for each major to determine which one had the lowest and highest unemployment rates for recent graduates.
