Cotton Bowl 2025: Where to watch Texas vs Ohio State

AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Longhorns are continuing their College Football Playoff journey this week on Friday.

The No. 3 Longhorns (13-2) are taking on the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Jan. 10. 

The winner will then play the winner of the Capital One Orange Bowl (either Notre Dame or Penn State) in the CFP final game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Georgia on Monday, Jan. 20.

As of 4:30 p.m., Jan. 8, the game is still expected to go on as scheduled despite the winter weather rolling through Texas. 

Watch parties in Austin area

If you can't make it to AT&T Stadium, several establishments across the Austin area are hosting watch parties for the Cotton Bowl.

FOX 7 Austin has compiled a list below, including any specials or special events:

Scholz Garten

• Where: 1607 San Jacinto Blvd, Austin

Scholz Garten boasts the longest running and largest tailgating in Texas. There will be food and drink specials and an abbreviated menu and counter service available starting at 3 p.m.

Fieldhouse at the Crossover

• Where: 1717 Scottsdale, Cedar Park

Fans are invited to cheer on the Longhorns at the Fieldhouse on its 22-foot big screen and enjoy the full bar, food trucks, fire pits and more starting at 6:30 p.m.

The Goat

• Where: 18612 Pfluger Farm Lane, Pflugerville
• Specials: $16 bucket with 5 domestic bottles; $3 domestic bottles; $4 well drinks; $10 boneless wings and fries; $40 appetizer board which serves 4–6 people

DJ Kinzie King and an MC will be performing starting at 5:30 p.m. and during commercials and halftime. There will also be fun game squares and prizes.

South Austin Beer Garden

• Where: 10700 Menchaca Road, Austin
• Specials: Free pulled pork sandwiches with any drink purchase; drink specials during the game; free parking

Doc’s Backyard Grill

• Where: 5207 Brodie Lane, Ste. 100, Sunset Valley
• Specials: Happy Hour from 3-7 p.m. with $7.99 appetizers; $1 off drafts, wells and wine; $4 off pitchers

Central Machine Works Brewery

• Where: 4824 E. Cesar Chavez Street, Austin
• Specials: $2 Jell-O shots; $5 Burnt Orange Hazy IPA; $10 Meganachos

Darci Carlson will be performing at the pregame Happy Hour from 5-6:25 p.m.
