Country music star donates more than $200K to Dell Children's in honor of son
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - It has been three-weeks since country music star Granger Smith lost his three-year-old son in a drowning accident here in Central Texas.
His son River Kelly Smith was treated at Dell Children's Medical Center before he died.
The family wanted to show their gratitude to those who tried to save him, so on Tuesday, Smith and his wife Amber Bartlett donated a check for more than $200,000 dollars to the hospital.
The money came from shirt sales in River’s honor.
