Deadly crash on Research Boulevard kills two: ATCEMS
AUSTIN, Texas - Two people are dead after a fiery crash in north Austin.
It happened late Saturday morning in the 8400 block of Research Boulevard on the southbound side near the intersection with Lazy Lane.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., authorities say a car caught fire after hitting a support pillar under US 183.
At least one person was trapped inside.
Both the driver and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

Fire crews were able to get the fire under control within about 15 minutes.
The crash caused major delays in the area, and it remains under investigation.
