Credit card skimmers found at Leander 7-Eleven

LEANDER, Texas - Three credit card skimmers were found over the weekend at a Leander 7-Eleven.

According to Leander PD, the skimmers were located on gas pumps 1, 2, and 3 at the 7-Eleven located at Bagdad and Crystal Falls on Saturday, May 4. They were installed through the receipt door, but Leander PD says the keys locking the inside of the pumps are generic and easily obtained.

Leander PD is currently investigating where the devices came from and urging people to check their bank statements for unauthorized charges if they think they purchased gas at that location between May 1 and May 4.

If anyone finds unauthorized charges stemming from a purchase at this location, they can contact Leander PD at 512-528-2800 to file a police report.
