Crews battle house fire in Southwest Travis County

Emergency crews worked on putting out a fire at a home under construction in Southwest Travis County Thursday morning.

The initial report came in around 4:30 a.m. and at least four fire departments responded to the 4,000 square foot home on Sandia Loop.

Luckily, nobody was inside the home at the time of the fire, as the house had been under construction. Officials said the owners were expected to move back in Thursday and that the house was now a total loss.

The fire has been knocked down, but crews are still on scene looking out for hotspots. 

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
