Del Valle ISD announces schools will be closed March 23 - April 5

DEL VALLE, Texas - Del Valle Independent School District says it has made the decision to close for two weeks after the district's spring break which runs March 16 through March 20.

All DVISD schools will be closed from March 23 through April 5 because officials say it's "in the best interest of the healthy and safety of our community at large."

The closure includes cancellation of all extracurricular activities, athletics, after school programs, and events.

During the closure, officials say that the district will follow an alternate learning plan. 

For the week of March 23, students will use paper lessons that were provided before spring break began.
