Democratic congresswomen respond to Trump's recent tweets
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - President Trump doubled down Monday on attacks he made Sunday against Democratic congresswomen.
In a series of tweets, the president wrote "progressive' democratic congresswomen" should "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."
Democratic lawmakers are slamming the president's rhetoric while most in the Republican party are staying silent with a few exceptions.
The four freshman congresswomen Trump is referring to are Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley and Ilhan Omar.
All four women have repeatedly spoken out against president Trump's immigration policies and have called for his impeachment.
