ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Orange County Sheriff's Office says a 4-year-old boy has died after being left inside a hot car.
Deputies on Friday, responded to the parking of the Elite Preparatory Academy, at 1636 W. Oak Ridge Road, where they said a child was spotted by a bystander, unconscious and locked in a vehicle that was not running.
A spokesman with the Sheriff's Office said the bystander got the boy out of the car and immediately took him to the Orange County Fire Rescue Station 51, which is across street from the school.
Orange County Fire Rescue transported the victim to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, where he was pronounced deceased. He was identified on Tuesday as 4-year-old Logan Starling.
This is the second incident of its kind to have occurred in the Orlando area on Friday, according to authorities. A spokesman with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office confirmed the death of an infant that was discovered in a locked car at a Wawa in Sanford.
