Discussing findings of kidney transplant study

The Journal of the American Medical Association recently published a study that found that the U.S. throws out about 3,500 or nearly 20% of deceased donor kidneys each year.

This as nearly 100,000 Americans are on waiting lists right now for a kidney transplant. Dr. Michelle McDonald, a kidney transplant surgeon as well as Director of Living Donor Kidney Transplants at St. David's North Austin Medical Center, talks about the findings.
