Dog in Kyle shot to death at home; police investigating

Police are investigating after a dog was shot to death in Kyle.

Kyle police said on Dec. 20, between 5-10 p.m., the incident happened at a home on New Bridge Drive in the Waterleaf neighborhood. A 7-year-old Lab mix, Dahlia, was shot to death.

The dog's owners were not home at the time of the shooting. However, several neighbors heard gunshots.

Police are asking for the community's help, who may have any information or video footage related to the incident.

"Our hope is to bring closure to the family after the tragic loss of their canine companion," Kyle PD said.
