Donald Trump holds rally in Austin

For the first tie since becoming the Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump will be in Texas. He's hosting a rally at the Travis County Expo Center. It's just one of his stops on his five hour visit to Austin.

The day starts at ACL Live where Trump will tape a two hour special with Sean Hannity for the FOX News Channel. The event had an Eventbrite invite list but has been sold out. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the event runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Trump will then head to the Travis County Expo Center rally. Doors are set to open at 4:30 p.m. which starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Luedecke Arena. Tickets to the rally are available to supports on Trump's website.

The Republican presidential candidate's security team swept the premises last Friday. Secret Service will oversee the event with support from APD. Police say expect delays across town throughout the day.

Trump will wrap his Austin trip with a private fundraiser.

The Travis County Democratic Party plans to protest throughout Trump's visit. They expect several hundred people to turn out. The group is also selling t-shirts with "#DumpTrump".
