AUSTIN, Texas - Voters in Austin’s District 4 voted today in a special election.
The election will decide on the next representative to join Austin City Council.
The current District 4 Council Member, Greg Casar, automatically resigned his seat when he announced his candidacy for Congress on November 4th. The newly-drawn 35th congressional district includes most of Travis County east of Interstate 35 before trailing down into Hays, Comal, and Bexar counties.
Election results for District 4:
According to the Travis County Clerk's Office, 218 ballots have been counted so far. The election results were updated at 8:44 p.m. on January 25.
