Heavy police presence in Elgin

Police have requested the help of the Travis and Williamson County SWAT teams as they execute search and arrest warrants at two homes in Elgin.

ELGIN, Texas - There was a heavy police presence in Elgin Monday morning.

Elgin police, along with the Travis and Williamson County SWAT teams executed search and arrest warrants at two homes in the 400 block of Houston St.

Heavy police presence leads to road closures

Elgin PD, along with the Travis and Williamson SWAT teams, executed search and arrest warrants at two homes, and it's led road closures in the area.

Police say there was no threat to the public.

There were road closures in the area, but the road has since reopened.

The operation began at around 6 a.m. and concluded at around 9:15 a.m.
