Employee shot during aggravated robbery in North Austin
AUSTIN, Texas - An unknown number of suspects have been detained and a man was injured during an armed robbery in North Austin.
At approximately 4:56 p.m. on May 7, officers from the Austin Police Department responded to a robbery of a jewelry store at 5011 Burnet Road in North Austin.

According to police, during the course of the robbery, a store employee was shot and injured. ATCEMS transported the victim to a local trauma center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries, but it has since been declared the victim is in stable condition.
APD says they have taken several suspects into custody but are withholding their identities. There is also an unknown number of outstanding suspects, police say.
