Bomb squad investigation in Cedar Park linked to explosion at St. David's: APD
APD said the bomb investigation in Cedar Park is a follow-up investigation in connection to the vehicle explosion in the St. David's Medical Center parking garage on August 9.
CEDAR PARK, Texas - The FBI and the Austin Police Bomb Squad are investigating an "object" in Cedar Park.
The Cedar Park Police Department says officers are at 335 Cypress Creek, just off S. Bell Boulevard, assisting the other agencies with an investigation.
APD said the explosive ordinance disposal (EOD) unit is conducting an investigation in Cedar Park. The scene is a follow-up investigation in connection to the vehicle explosion in the St. David's Medical Center parking garage on August 9.
38-year-old Raymond L Garner is the reason for it all. He was arrested in connection to a vehicle explosion at St. David's on August 9. The following day, records show, officials are investigating a new incident at his apartment.
Garner has been taken into custody and is charged with a third-degree felony of Components of Explosives.

APD gives update on explosion at St. David's
The nature of the explosion is still being investigated. The hospital has closed the garage temporarily.
Officials did not give any word on what was found in the apartment, as it may be used as evidence in the investigation.
Some residents have been temporarily evacuated out of an abundance of caution while the bomb squad examines an object at the scene.
At this time, there’s no reason to believe there’s a threat to the public.
