Fiery wreck leaves one dead, 1 injured
When first responders arrived, one car was on fire and one person was trapped in each vehicle.
TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas - A fiery wreck overnight in Southeast Travis County left one person dead and another critically injured.
Texas DPS says the preliminary investigation shows a Toyota pickup truck and a four-door passenger vehicle collided on the northbound lanes of Toll 45 approximately one-half mile south of Turnerville Road.
Austin-Travis County EMS says one vehicle was on fire when they arrived, and one person was trapped in each vehicle.
First responders got the driver of the truck out and they were taken to Dell Seton by Starflight with critical injuries.
The driver of the car died at the scene.
Texas DPS says it would like to remind all drivers to minimize distractions, don’t drive fatigued, don’t drink and drive, obey traffic control devices and always wear your safety belt.
