Footage from Kyle wrong way driver crash on I-35 that killed four

FOX 7 has obtained footage from the early Friday morning crash that killed four in Kyle.

The three car accident happened on I-35 in Kyle, near Mitchell Motor Sports, shortly after 1 AM. 

Kyle Police dispatchers received a 911 call reporting a wrong-way driver heading southbound on the northbound side of the highway. A subsequent call was made to 911 reporting the crash.

Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett confirmed four fatalities: two adult males, one adult female, and one male child between the age of 18 months and 2 years old.

Wilson Rene Molinares has been identified as the wrong-way driver.  

According to Kyle Police...

Kyle Police have confirmed the existence of four arrest warrants for the offense of manslaughter for Wilson Rene Molinares in connection with a vehicle accident on Feb. 19 that took the lives of four people including a 16-month-old boy. Kyle Police sought and were granted those warrants from Hays County Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Beth Smith.

Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett said his department is coordinating the execution of the warrants, taking into account Molinares's medical condition and the ability to conduct the book-in and subsequent arraignment process. Barnett added that KPD is aware of Molinares's location at all times.

This is currently the only information the City of Kyle and its police department will release about the case; no comments, statements or interviews will be granted at this time as the investigative process is ongoing.
