Former Austin-area principal educator arrested in Montgomery County for possessing child pornography
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - A former Austin-area educator has been arrested in Montgomery County after authorities executed a search warrant, officials said.
According to authorities, Curtis John Locklear was arrested on Thursday.

Officials said the search warrant stemmed from a proactive investigation by the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Internet Crimes Against Children detective into the possession of child pornography.
Locklear was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of child pornography.
He was taken to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Jail and is being held on a $300,000 bond.

Authorities stated further investigation revealed Locklear is a retired school principal from the Austin-area who has had frequent and prolonged contact with children over the course of his career. He is also a known author and often travels for work.
