Four-year-old girl struck and killed in Bastrop

BASTROP, Texas - A four-year-old girl is dead after she was struck by a vehicle, City of Bastrop Police say. 

On October 6th, at approximately 5:31 pm, officers were dispatched to the 2200 Block of SH 95 and a local hospital in reference to an auto-pedestrian crash.

 A four-year-old girl,  who is not being identified at this time, was in a parking lot, in front of a parked vehicle. The driver of the vehicle pulled forward and struck the child from behind. The child was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced deceased. 

No other injuries or damages were incurred. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
