FOX 7 Discussion: New poll shows Sanders ahead

The 2020 presidential race is heating up on the Democratic side.

The Iowa Caucus is being held next Monday and Texans head to the polls on March 3 during Super Tuesday for primary elections.

A new Emerson College poll has Sen. Bernie Sanders in the lead at 30 percent with former vice president Joe Biden at 21 percent. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren sit at 13 and 11 percent respectively and South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg is at 10 percent.

The data was collected from Jan. 23-26 with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.6 percent.

Travis County GOP chairman Matt Mackowiak and Progress Texas executive director Ed Espinoza join Rebecca Thomas to discuss the poll numbers.
