FOX-7 Discussion: President Threatens to Close Southern Border after Migrants Breach Fencing

AUSTIN, Texas - The Trump Administration is renewing calls for a border wall, after migrants rush the southern border Sunday.

Border agents fired tear gas at a group of migrants trying to get through fencing and wire separating the U.S. and Mexico. 

The president is threatening to permanently close the border as thousands of migrants wait to file asylum claims and enter the U.S.

Fox 7 Austin’s Rebecca Thomas talked to Travis County GOP chairman Matt Mackowiak and, Tara Pohlmeyer from Progress Texas about whether President Trump is more likely or less likely to be supported in that effort.
