AUSTIN,Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Another government shutdown appears to have been avoided.

President Trump is getting border-barrier money in the funding package.

But, not the $5.7 billion he was asking for.

Instead, Democrats are agreeing to $1.4 billion for border barriers.

President Trump said he wasn't happy about the amount of money but, that one way or another the wall will get built.

FOX 7 Austin’s Rebecca Thomas talked to Travis County GOP Executive Director Spencer Davis and, Ed Espinoza from Progress Texas about funding for the president’s border wall and if Trump will sign the bill.
