FOX 7 Discussion: State Sen. Kirk Watson resigns
AUSTIN, Texas - Central Texas Democrats are losing a longtime state senator.
Kirk Watson (D-Austin) has announced he will be leaving his post as state senator of District 14 to be the founding dean of the Hobby School of Public Affairs at the University of Houston.

He will retire from office at the end of April.
