Fox 7’s Emmanuel Acho provided food for the homeless at "Salvation Army" today in Downtown Austin. Acho is a former Longhorn football player who went on to the NFL.

He's now part of the "Good Day Austin" morning team.

"Chipotle" is one of his sponsors.  So, he says they allow him to throw a party for 100 people every year.

This year he wanted to give back to Austin.  With the help of Olympic gold medalist Morolake Akinosun, the two served Tex-Mex to "Salvation Army" clients.

“I believe to whom much is given, much is required.  I've been given a lot, blessed with a lot.  Played in the NFL, now doing the TV thing.  And so if I have the opportunity to be a blessing to other people,” Acho said.

“To whom much is given, much is served and Christ said if you do it for the least of these it's as if you were doing it for me and it's important to give because I've been given so much." Akinosun said.

The downtown Salvation Army is a 240-bed facility.  Clients work to transition from homelessness - to self-sufficiency.
