Georgetown police investigating armed robbery

Georgetown police are on the lookout for suspects who robbed the Applebee's on I-35. It happened at around 1 a.m.

Police say two men with their faces covered and wearing gloves and armed with handguns walked in through the back door of the restaurant and demanded money from employees.

The suspects took off with an undisclosed amount of cash on foot.

The store was closed at the time so there were no customers.

Police say they're not sure if this is connected to any other recent incidents in the area.
