Georgetown police: Man robbed husband, wife in their home at gunpoint

The Georgetown Police Department is looking for a man they say robbed a husband and wife in their home at gunpoint.

Officers responded to a report of a home invasion and robbery in the 5100 block of Hidden Springs Trail on the afternoon of April 6. The residents said an unknown person entered their home, pointed a handgun at the husband and ordered him to the ground.

The man took money from the husband and wife's wallets and then fled the scene. The husband had re-entered the home after talking with his wife and a neighbor in the garage when he confronted the intruder.

Officers searched the area on foot and with drones and while they were able to find evidence, they did not find the suspect.

The homeowners described the suspect as a black or Hispanic man with a dark complexion, about 5'6" to 5'8" and 150 lbs with short dark hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a dark or white T-shirt and a black medical mask. Georgetown police say it's believe the suspect entered the home through an unsecured back door.
