GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Georgetown Police Department is looking for a man who attempted to abduct a nine-year-old from her home Monday afternoon.

The suspect is described as a Black man with a large build, between 5'10" and 6'. He was last seen wearing a ball cap, long-sleeve black shirt, and gray sweatpants. He also has a tattoo on one of his arms.

"I’ve never heard of anything like that here ever," says a neighbor.
A woman that’s lives on Northwest Boulevard is in shock after the attempted abduction.
"I know that’s going to be a lesson for that family that little children shouldn’t be answering the door. They really shouldn’t, because look how quickly it happened," says the neighbor.
Georgetown police say the nine-year-old is okay and was reunited with her family.
Police officers, detectives, and a Police K9 team have canvassed and searched the area for the suspect but have not located anyone.
"I was really upset about that, and then I'm also concerned that he got away with it so far. I hope they nail him I hope they get him, but I just hope that she wasn't hurt, and I hope her family is doing ok," says the neighbor.
The investigation is ongoing and due to the serious nature, police are informing the public as quickly as information is received.
The concerned neighbor says there a lot of young children in the area and has a message for parents.
"If I were a parent, I would be very cognizant of every move they made, I really would," says the neighbor.
