Inmate dies at Llano County Jail

LLANO, Texas - An inmate has died in the Llano County Jail Tuesday afternoon.

According to a release from the Llano County Sheriff's Office, Benjamin Braden Hoffman, 41, of Sunrise Beach Village, was found unresponsive around 12:25 p.m. Jail staff initiated CPR immediately and EMS was called.

LCSO staff and EMS performed CPR for approximately 40 minutes before Hoffman was pronounced dead.

LCSO says Hoffman had turned himself in Monday evening on a probation violation warrant.

The Texas Rangers are investigating the death as per jail policy, and an autopsy has been ordered.
