DALLAS - Former Vice President Joe Biden brought his campaign to Dallas on Wednesday.
The Democratic presidential hopeful met with some of Texas’ top Democratic party donors for lunch at a Highland Park home.
Then he stopped for a community event at SPARK! Dallas, a non-profit organization in The Cedars area of south Dallas that provides educational enrichment for children.
Biden did his best to avoid talking about President Donald Trump, instead talking to supporters and encouraging students to reach for their dreams.
“What are the things that you care about? Whether you want to be the best chef in the world or whether you want to get involved with public life, you get lucky when you figure out what that is,” he said.
Biden also picked up an endorsement from Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings.
Most polls have him as the front runner for the Democratic nomination.
