Kendra Scott repurposes materials for face masks that will be donated to Austin hospitals

Jewelry brand Kendra Scott is doing its part to help with the shortage of PPE by repurposing some of its existing materials.

The company donated its yellow branded bandanas to local female volunteer groups to sew masks that are desperately needed. The need may be greater now that officials are considering recommending that everyone wear masks.

The masks from the Kendra Scott materials will be donated to hospitals in Austin as well as in harder-hit areas like New Orleans, New York and California.

The company has already been helping an organization, Feeding America, by donating proceeds from its Everlyne bracelet. The company says that since it began doing that it's donated more than one million meals and counting.
