Officials say K-9 Officer Chico served with the LaGrange Police Department for nearly eight years, from September 2010 to April 2018. He died on Friday
After retirement, Chico had been living with his handler, Wendy Bryant, and her family.
Police say he had been "adapting to his new role as a regular four-legged family member."
The department is asking you to keep Officer Bryant and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of loss.
