Lakeline Mall shooting: APD release video of suspect
CEDAR PARK, Texas - Austin police are still searching for the suspect involved in a shooting at Lakeline Mall on Thursday.
On Friday, APD released a video and photo of their suspect running through the food court.
"You do an offense like that in Austin and our agg. assault unit, they’re going to be arrested," said Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis.

Police said on Jan. 2, around 3:55 p.m., officers responded to an incident inside Lakeline Mall in Cedar Park.
"A shot was fired inside the food court," said Davis. "At that point, witnesses saw the individuals run from the mall. Officers responded not knowing who else was inside the mall. The mall itself went into its own lockdown procedures."
The suspect and a victim left the mall immediately after the shooting.

Initially, police said, there was no indication of any injuries. However, it was later determined a victim had minor injuries and self-reported to the hospital after leaving the mall.
A photo and video of the suspect has been shared by police. They described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his late teens to early 20s. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, and dark shoes.
Lakeline Mall reopened Friday.
"I was in the food court actually taking lunch, and it was full of people, so I don't think people are too concerned right now," said Dylan Fournier, who’s at the mall Friday.
Plenty of cars lined the mall’s lot, and families came and went with ease.
"It's a bit of a crazy world sometimes, and that doesn’t stop you from doing the things you need to do, so the police took care of it, so we’re just out here having a big spa promotion, and that’s what we’re doing," said Fournier.
"There will be justice in this," said Davis. "You do not fire off a weapon inside a mall with innocent people about. They will be found."
