Leander ISD bus driver hits, injures pedestrian
LEANDER, Texas - A Leander ISD bus driver hit a pedestrian in early December.
According to Cedar Park police, on Dec. 9, around 6:35 a.m., officers responded to a pedestrian crash involving a school bus at the intersection of E. Whitestone Blvd. and Discovery Blvd.
The pedestrian hit called 911 saying she was injured near the crosswalk after the crash.

Officials worked with the Leander ISD Transportation Office to review video footage from the bus.
Due to the rainy and dark conditions, and with the pedestrian wearing a blue jacket, investigators believed the bus driver wasn't able to see the pedestrian.
No charges were pressed. However, the bus driver was cited for failing to yield right of way to a pedestrian.
