Man arrested for shooting 17-year-old in the face

A man was arrested in Austin for a shooting that happened in Manor this past weekend. A 17-year-old girl was shot in the face during an aggravated robbery, according to police. 

Salvador Sanchez-Aguirre, 21, was arrested in the 4000 block of South I-35 in Austin, according to the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. A warrant was filed by the Manor Police Department May 11 in Travis County charging Sanchez-Aguirre for shooting a female victim in the face on Trevin Cove. 

The girl was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force conducted an investigation and learned that Sanchez-Aguirre was hiding in an Austin hotel. Sanchez-Aguirre was arrested at the hotel later without incident.

A search was conducted in the hotel room of Sanchez-Aguirre and a Taurus 9 mm pistol was found at the scene. Sanchez-Aguirre was transported and booked into the Travis County jail.
