Man arrested in connection with Christmas Day robbery of Dripping Springs convenience store

The Hays County Sheriff's Office says a man has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a Dripping Springs convenience store at gunpoint on Christmas Day.

HCSO says John Robert Garrison, 39, entered the Corner Store of Dripping Springs at the intersection of Sawyer Ranch Road and U.S. 290 around 2 a.m. on Dec. 25, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cashier.

It was found that Garrison had multiple outstanding warrants, including two for aggravated robbery, with the Austin Police Department and a warrant for a parole violation, according to HCSO.

Austin police officers and agents with the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force found and arrested Garrison Jan. 7 at a hotel in North Austin without incident and booked him in the Travis County Jail.

HCSO says the incidents are still under investigation.
