Man drowns at cable wakeboarding park
AUSTIN, Texas - A man doing repair work at an Austin water park has died.
First responders worked to rescue a man who possibly drowned at a cable wakeboarding park.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, first responders arrived at 10815 Farm to Market 1625 in south Travis County, around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday after reports of a man in his 60’s possibly drowned.
Kristen Dark from the Travis County Sheriff's Office said three contracted repair men were working in a recreation area of the water park when one of the men slumped over and fell into the water.
Dark said the two men were able to pull the man out of the water and perform CPR on the man until emergency crews arrived.
Crews performed CPR on the man however, he later died.
ATCEMS reported that the man died at Quest ATX Water Park.
The incident is still under investigation.
