NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - A 24-year-old man was stabbed in a Wal-Mart parking lot in New Braunfels in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The New Braunfels police and fire department were called to the Wal-Mart parking lot in the 1200 block of I-35 South around 2:20 a.m. for a report of a stabbing.
According to a release from New Braunfels PD, the victim had arrived in the parking lot and got out of hie vehicle when he was approached by the suspect. Police say the suspect and victim possibly knew each other and a verbal argument escalated into a physical fight which ended in the victim being stabbed by the suspect.
The man was transported to the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) by ground EMS and is listed in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
