Manor ISD to allow parents to pick up students' prescription medication

Manor ISD will be allowing parents to pick up their child's prescription medication from the district next week.

Medications will be handed out at the MISD Partnerships and Wellness building on W. Murray Avenue. The district says the building is made of brown brick with Manor ISD written on the side.

Parents are asked to not get out of their vehicles when they arrive and are instructed to call 512-808-0537 to inform the district they have arrived and the name of the student(s) they are picking medications up for.

The district says the person picking up medications must be listed in Skyward Family Access. No exceptions will be made in order to protect our students and their privacy.

Parents will need to bring a photo ID and must be able to answer specific information about the child, which can include the child's date of birth, teacher's name, etc.

Parents are also instructed to write down the name, student ID number, campus name, and name of prescription medication on a piece of paper and show it through the window when a nurse brings the medications out to the car.
