MCSO: man who "hates cops" stabs patrol vehicle
FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A man is in custody after he allegedly stabbed a Maricopa County Sheriff's Posse vehicle.
MCSO says that 20-year-old Zachary Jacobson stabbed the vehicle becase he "hates the police," and wanted to send a message.
A posseman encountered Jacobson standing on the hood of the vehicle holding a large butcher knife. The posseman drew his weapon and ordered him to drop the knife. Instead of dropping the knife, he stabbed the hood of the patrol car.
"This is a scary time for all law enforcement" said Sheriff Arpaio, "we are dealing with a war on cops, people are randomly shooting our law enforcement officials; then this guy targets a fully marked Sheriff's Vehicle to send a message" said Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
Jacobson was taken into custody without any injury, he was booked into jail on criminal damage charges and may face additional charges.
