Meet and greet event to help connect voters with local candidates

Good Politics will be holding an event to help educate local voters on candidates they may be voting for in March.

Party for the People: Candidate Happy Hour and Hang Out, or the "big ol' party," will be held at the Native Hostel on Feb. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will host a happy hour where voters can meet candidates running for various offices from commissioners to the U.S. Congress.

"Local government is tricky, but it doesn't have to be. We're inviting all local candidates running in March 2020’s Texas primary to come hang out - from Travis County Commissioner to US Congress," the official event page says.

According to the event page, each candidate will be set up at a table to allow a meet and greet with attendees. Each table will also have a job description for what position will do.

"We want you to get to know your candidates for yourself and even share a Lonestar with them. We vote on March 3, and the general election is just around the corner," the event page says.

You can register for the free event at the official Good Politics event page.
