Motorcyclist dies in New Braunfels accident
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas - The City of New Braunfels has confirmed a motorcyclist has died in a crash early Saturday morning.
Around 6:45 a.m New Braunfels police responded to the 4800 block of Northbound I-35 for a report of a motorcycle crash.
When emergency crews arrived on scene they found 30-year-old Tyler Muennink of New Braunfels had died from injuries sustained during a crash.
An investigation found that Muennink had lost control of his motorcycle, laid the bike down and was struck by two oncoming vehicles. Muennink was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The drivers of the vehicles that struck Muennink were not injured and are not facing any charges concerning the incident.
Speed, alcohol, and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash according to police.
New Braunfels police closed down I-35 for around 4 hours this morning in order to fully investigate the crash.
