Officials say that the flood threat is increasing and that'll be the case over the next couple of days. Right now steps are being taken for what might be coming.
It's too soon to say if action similar to what LCRA took in October, when mutliple gates were opened at dams along the Highland Lakes due to historic flooding, will be needed but people in the area say they're not ignoring the potential flood threat.
Most of Central Texas is under a slight risk of severe weather. Main threats will be from storms producing large hail, damaging winds and possible isolated tornadoes.
