Multiple law enforcement agencies investigating"suspicious circumstances" surrounding missing Cedar Park woman
CEDAR PARK, Texas - Multiple law enforcement agencies were investigating “suspicious circumstances” surrounding a missing woman in Cedar Park Friday.
Cedar Park Police could provide little information about the investigation Friday, but confirmed the department was investigating “suspicious circumstances surrounding a missing person” at a home on the 2500 block of Cypress Lane near Pear Lane.
On Friday, the department searched the property using a drone. They were joined by the Texas Rangers and Texas Game Wardens, who searched using multiple K-9’s.
James Whitehead lives near the home and says detectives asked him about the case Thursday evening.
“Police pulled up in front of my house and they were just asking ‘have I seen a missing person? That someone was missing from the house across the street caddy-corner, for I guess about a couple days they've been missing.’” he said.

On Friday, detectives asked neighbors about the woman, inquiring about her routine, which included walking a child, or children to a bus stop near the home. Neighbors say it has been roughly a week since they last saw her.
“I just wanna hear the truth. I don't want them to beat around the bush. I just want them to say 'hey look, this is what's happening, this is what you need to do to protect yourself and your community.'” said one resident.

Neighbors say police first arrived at the home early Thursday evening. Early Friday morning, there was a lot of commotion -- many reported hearing “loud bangs.”
On Friday afternoon, police removed two vehicles from the property, at least one registered to a man who lives in the home.
Still, police have not released any names. They say they responded as soon as they were made aware of an issue.
Cedar Park police expects to release additional information Saturday.
