Officials identify McNeil HS student responsible for sending messages & encouraging fights

Williamson County Sheriff's Office deputies say they have identified one student who is responsible for sending out messages to McNeil High School students and encouraging fights.

Officials say the student has confessed and could be charged with inciting a riot.

It's not immediately clear if there are other students involved but officials say there will be a continued police presence at the school throughout the day.

The news comes after Williamson County Sheriff's Office reported yesterday (1/16) that deputies were investigating a group fight that occurred off-campus that resulted in a lockout at the school. The lockout was lifted half an hour later.
