Oklahoma police release bodycam footage of 70-year-old's arrest

Oklahoma City police have released bodycam footage showing an officer tackling to the ground a 70-year-old man who was later hospitalized. 

The incident happened on October 17 started over an argument about a traffic violation. 

Police said during the confrontation, the elderly man "sustained serious injuries that required hospitalization."

As a result, the office was placed on administrative leave pending the conclusion of the police investigation. The findings will be presented to the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office.

"There is some very, very much uncalled for excessive force and, I think, as a community, we are hurt by that," said Thuan Nguyen, president-elect of the Vietnamese American Community of Oklahoma, told KOCO news.
