One dead in Cedar Park motorcycle accident, first traffic fatality of the year
CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Cedar Park Police are investigating a motorcycle accident that left one dead.
Around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a call for a collision with injuries at the 6400 block of the 183A toll road.
When officers arrived they observed a pickup truck in the median and a motorcycle in the roadway. 45-year-old Dane Benjamin Hone, the driver of the motorcycle was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. He passed away Sunday morning.
Based on an investigation, police say the truck crashed into the median first, sending debris into the roadway. Hone then hit the debris and moments later crashed.
This is Cedar PArk's first traffic fatality of the year and remains an ongoing investigation.
