One dead, three detained in East Austin shooting
AUSTIN, Texas - A man has been killed in East Austin Saturday morning, according to police.
At approximately 9:47 a.m. police received calls of multiple shots fired at 1106 Reinli Street in East Austin.
When police arrived on the scene they found a man in a parking lot with obvious trauma. They immediately started life-saving procedures, however, the victim has succumbed to his wounds. He is described as a black male in his late twenties.
According to witnesses on the scene, three suspects fled westbound on foot away from the area. Officers responded to that area and detained the three suspects. They are currently being interviewed by police.
According to police, one of the suspects dropped a gun that was later recovered by a K9 unit.
Police have stated that there is no threat to the public at this time.
